MATERIALS/HARDWARE
- Suggested Fabric for the Exterior: light or medium weight version of non-fray fabric, vinyl, cork or real leather. Ideally, a stiffer leather or vinyl will be perfect to achieve a solid look for this wallet. A material with thickness between 1mm to 2mm will be a good choice to work with. If using light materials like vinyl or cork, it is recommended to double up the main fabric or add interfacing.
- Suggesting Lining for the Interior: light weight fabric, light vinyl, iron-on vinyl, thin leather or water proof canvas. Choice for this depends on how much layers your sewing machine can comfortably handle. The lighter the interior lining, the easier it will be for your machine to stitch. Adding lining to the interior is optional as this depends on the weight of your fabric and whether the wrong side of your fabric is finished or not.
- Suggested Interfacing: decovil light or similar material. If your main fabric is too soft, you can add interfacing to the WS of the lining before joining to the wallet. More instructions on how to add this is written in the instructions booklet.
- Closure: snap buttons/utility snaps/ Kam Snaps or magnetic snaps.
